MUMBAI: Nazia Hussain, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s niece, who rose to fame through her role in Telugu film “Nee Jathaga Nenundali” (remake of “Aashiqui 2”), has spoken up about her struggle in the film industry.

Nazia, who is Sanjay’s maternal uncle Akhtar Hussain’s grand-daughter, earlier featured in an unreleased film. Now she will soon start shooting for the sequel of 2006 film “Tom, Dick and Harry”.

The actor made no secret in saying that she worked devoid of pressure due to her family’s connection in the film industry.

“I’m an ordinary person with a passion, related to someone famous. I’ve stood in lines for auditions, travelled in local trains and struggled like any other person who is pursuing a career in films. I am proud of myself for doing so,” Nazia said in a statement.

Talking about the “Tom, Dick and Harry” sequel, she said: “I’m extremely thrilled, this project has been in the pipeline for a while and we are starting with it soon. So I’m excited and bouncing off the walls.”

Bipasha Basu tied the knot with Karan Singh Grover at a very private ceremony in Mumbai on 30 April. With a total of three ceremonies, a mehendi, the wedding and a reception, the happy couple hosted the who’s who of the film industry.

The festivities started with a mehendi ceremony in on last Friday, in a suburban lounge. This was followed by a traditional bengali wedding, where much to the dismay of the bride, the moment of the evening was Karan Singh Grover arriving to the mandap in a Segway.

It was a starry affair at Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s wedding reception, which saw the who’s who of tinsel town gracing the event. The reception was attended by Bollywood A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. The reception, held at St. Regis hotel in south Mumbai, was also attended by other celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora, Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor among others.

The Kapoor family largely has always stayed away from the social media except for Rishi Kapoor. Kareena Kapoor Khan who is one of the most popular actresses of the tinsel town has also decided never to be active on any social networking sites. Just when all the stars are quite chatty on various sites, Kareena prefers to be reserved.

Gaurav (Shah Rukh Khan) is a Dilli ka Launda just like his idol, Aryan Khanna. From his childhood, he has been such a Jabra fan of AK that he knows every minute detail of his life. Fans of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have been hoping that the duo will get back together. But now, it is certain that the couple, who separated and gotten back together on a few occasions in the past, have parted ways for good. The actors decided to call it quits early this year and though they have been trying to work things out, it seems that everything is over now, at least for Ranbir Kapoor.

The last time they came face-to-face was at common friend Aarti Shetty’s birthday dinner. A source present recounts, “For the first part, they stayed in different corners of the room. At some point, Kat walked up to Ranbir who was standing with few friends and asked him if they could talk privately. Ranbir behaved like a complete brat. He told her he had nothing to say and if she wanted to say something, she could say it in front of everyone present. The actress squirmed but she had no choice but to talk to him in front of everyone because he had been ignoring her texts and her calls.”

The source continues, “She had no option. Even though it was awkward as hell. Kat asked her former beau, ‘Can we give this another shot?’ He calmly told her, ‘No. It’s over for me. I have moved on. And I suggest you do the same.’ The incident left Katrina in tears. She walked away feeling humiliated and was later seen sobbing in a corner. Everyone present felt bad for her. It was almost as if in that moment, she lost all hope. She realised that it was finally over. Right up to that day she’d been hoping that she could fix whatever had gone wrong between them. Aarti and the others tried to console Kat, but she looked broken and devastated. My heart goes out to her. She didn’t deserve this humiliation in public. This could have been done with more dignity.”

Last week, when Ranbir was at a dinner hosted by his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kat showed up. Says an eyewitness, “Kat knew he was there and her car was seen a few times in that area. It really looks like she wants to talk to him and he has cut off all communication with her. I think he owes her a conversation. No one is asking them to get back together. But if she wants closure, he should give her that. He owes her that. It is the decent thing to do.”

Shilpa Shinde claims that Benaifer Kohli spread false news that she had stopped coming for shoots without notice, when Shilpa was just on a holiday. She then threatened Shilpa to turn up or pay Rs. 10 crore

Actress Shilpa Shinde from Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain has been making the headlines for a while now. This time she has filed an FIR against her now ex-producer Benaifer Kohli. She has even told a leading daily that she is planning to file a complaint against the Cine and Television Actors Association (CINTAA) for imposing a lifetime ban on her. Shilpa has been putting up a tough fight against both Benaifer Kohli as well as CINTAA for a while now. And the buzz is that she has registered an FIR against her producer on March 29, 2016.
Speaking to an online portal, she said, “I used to always tell my producer that I have some health issues and I needed her cooperation. The location of the shoot was also very far away, and I told her that but she didn’t bother about that. We always had fights regarding dates and timings. In March, after I completed a year with the production house, Benaifer told everyone in the media that I am throwing tantrums and that’s the reason she’s replacing me. They had given me a holiday, but after 2-3 days, I was called back on the sets. So, I asked them to first clear this news and then call me. But I never got a call back from them. This happened on the March 3, 2016. I had also been given a termination notice by them.”

Shilpa claims that, ten days after this incident, she received a legal notice from the production house stating that she must come for the shoot within 48 hours or she would have to pay them Rupees 10 crore. The actress says that her producer spread false news that she had stopped coming for the shoot without notice.

The actress says that she is unhappy with CINTAA as well. She feels that the association is more in favour of producers than actors. She believes that the CINTAA had no business interfering in this matter. It was a legal issue and she was going to go the legal way.

Shilpa Shinde is currently undergoing treatment at an Ayurvedic centre in Pune for some health issues. Once she is back in Mumbai, it is heard that she is planning to file another case of Metal and Physical Harassment against Benaifer Kohli.

Hrithik, 42, had sent a legal notice to Kangana, 29, asking her to tender a public apology for having purportedly referred to him in an interview as “silly ex” and refuted her claim of the two having had a relationship.

In a letter to the cyber crime cell, Kangana alleged that police personnel were giving “false and misleading statements” to the media. The Hrithik-Kangana row intensified today with the actress questioning why police was selectively calling witnesses and the actor asking her to cooperate in ”everyone’s interest” so that the truth can come out.
In a letter to the cyber crime cell of Mumbai police, Kangana alleged that police personnel were giving “false and misleading statements” to the media. ”I have in my letter to the DCP, questioned the police on various aspects… the first thing that I have asked them is that when Hrithik Roshan in his complaint made to the Police in December 2014, claims to have gained knowledge of an imposter from many people including his fans and people from the film industry then why has no one has been questioned till now in the said matter,” Kangana’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee said in a statement.

“This could mean only one thing i e either Hrithik Roshan publicly lied about various people giving him information about an imposter or the police did not do their job diligently as was required under Section 154 of CRPC, and close the matter by filing an appropriate report in time,” he said.
When contacted, Hrithik’s lawyers said, “It’s in everyone’s best interest to cooperate with police, so the true facts come out. What is true, what is false, is to be decided by police and the courts and not through the media. As a law- abiding citizen, Kangana should cooperate with authorities like Hrithik is doing.”

The actor had accused the “Queen” actress of sending up to 50 e-mails a day, some of them explicit in nature, whereas Kangana has alleged that he had hacked into her email account to delete mails that could have complicated his divorce proceedings with his then wife Suzanne Khan. In her response Kangana charged him of a clumsy attempt to cover up their relationship.
The actress said she was not “some dim-witted teenager who has been smitten and that whatever happened between the two of them was with full consent of both parties.”

In a letter to the police, Kangana’s lawyer has written, “Hrithik has otherwise claimed in his notice that he had gained knowledge of an imposter in the month of May 2014. Therefore, in the last two years there was no hurry to find any imposter, so suddenly why is there so much chaos. It is obvious that these are efforts to deviate media attention from the main subject matter.”
The lawyer claimed the police is yet provide them a certified FIR copy as per the law. ”I have in my letter to the DCP also made a complaint against anonymous police source who is giving false and misleading statements to the press. Recently there have been media reports that my client has been called upon to hand over her laptop. I am shocked by these reports as my client has never given any statement that she ever used her laptop to communicate with any alleged imposter therefore where are these reports coming from,” Siddiquee said.
